# Groki

> Turn an idea into a meme. Groki writes nine directions per brief, across three tones.

## What it does

You describe a situation in one sentence. Groki picks three meme templates that fit and writes three directions for each, one per tone: Relatable, Savage, Unhinged. You pick one, edit the exact words in the studio, and export.

- Nine directions from a single brief
- A canvas editor for text, position and style
- Face swap and animation on any finished meme
- Private drafts, public gallery, remixes

## Groki MCP

Groki also exists for agents. Groki MCP is a remote MCP server that gives any MCP-compatible client, Claude included, a meme factory instead of a blank canvas.

- Endpoint: `https://www.groki.meme/api/mcp`
- Transport: Streamable HTTP
- Auth: OAuth 2.1 with PKCE and dynamic client registration
- Tools: `create_meme_draft`, `get_meme_draft`, `update_meme_draft`, `get_credit_balance`

An incomplete brief returns clarification questions and costs nothing. A complete batch of nine directions costs one credit. Edits use optimistic concurrency, so an agent can't silently overwrite someone else's change.

## Why I built it

Most image tools hand you an empty prompt box. Memes are a format with rules: a template, a tone, a punchline that fits in one line. Groki encodes those rules so a person, or an agent, starts from nine good options instead of zero.
